Mrs. Antoinina Caporice's Obituary
CAPORICE, Nina Cimo, even as her health failed and her spirit grew weaker, God remained the strength in her heart and she will be His forever. Mom was still smiling as her angel came to take her to heaven on July 29, 2007. We will love and miss her always, she was our Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore (Sam) Caporice, her parents Ignacio and Conchetta Urso Cimo, brother Dominic Cimo and sister Rose Martino. She is survived by her sons: Peter Caporice and wife Loretta, Nelson Caporice and wife Sandra and Samuel Caporice; daughter: Antoinette Caporice; grandchildren: Yvette Dubaj and husband Rick, Fonda Caporice, Michelle Sarratea and husband Francisco, Peter-Samuel Caporice and wife Kelley, Allison Caporice and Marlena Caporice; great grandchildren, the light of her life: Ryan, Joshua Rosa-Caporice Julen Sarratea and Nicholas Dubaj; sisters: Josephine and Mary Adams; brother-in-law: Angelo Caporice; sister-in-law: Martha Cimo and many beloved nieces , nephews and dear friends. A resident of Tampa, FL since her birth on July 29, 1913, Mrs. Caporice worked side by side with her husband in their family owned grocery store (Lincoln Grocery) on 29th St. in Tampa for over 50 years. A member of the Order Sons of Italy ( La Nuova Sicilia Unita Lodge #1251) for over 60 years and a member of the Italian Cultural Club. She was known as "Mom" to members of the Sons of Italy Lodges Loggia Mona Lisa #2699, Daughters of Italy Lodge #2825 and Nature Coast Lodge #2502. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 10AM to 12PM. Sons of Italy Lodge Ritual performed by La Nuova Sicilia Unita Lodge #1251 will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2007 followed by a Catholic funeral service at 12 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL. Interment will follow in Lake Caroll Cemetery. Active pallbearers include: Peter-Samuel and Ryan Caporice, Rick Dubaj, Francisco Sarratea, Gregory Gass and Carlos Rosa; pallbearers' angels include: Joshua Rosa-Caporice, Julen Sarratea and Nicholas Dubaj. Honorary pallbearers include: Angelo and John Angelo Caporice, Joseph Adams, Ernest and Tony Urso, Nelson, Tom, Michael and Richard Cimo, Sam, John, Peter and Nick Albano, Phillip and Dominic Ficarrotta, Ron Fox, Walter Romeo, Joseph and Philip Caltagirone, Joseph Magliato, Jim Lieb, Terry LoCicero, Dan Serpentelli, Mike Foy, Jim Rossiter, Bob Crepeau, Pat Calderoni, Peter LaBruzzo, Emmett Clary, Peter Monteleone, Frank Colletti, Gene Gesselli and Dino DiLiberti.
