Antoinette Giovinco's Obituary
Antoinette “Toni” Minardi Giovinco arrived at her heavenly home, to be with the Lord on January 14, 2019. She was a third generation native of Tampa. She was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughters Donna Lehnhoff and Joette Giovinco M.D., (Richard Gilbert), four grandchildren Ranielle Barbas, Kelsey Barbas, Cameron Barbas, and Ashlynn Lehnhoff, and great grandchild Melina Brinker, and faithful sister, Rose Marie Ranon.
She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School and earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola New Orleans, as well as, a teaching degree from University of Tampa and Masters Degree from L.S.U. Toni had a true passion to teach, learn, and help others. She retired after 26 years in the Hillsborough County School system. During her career she served as a Biology teacher and at retirement as a guidance counselor. She also enjoyed sharing her love of Scripture and taught Bible Study in her home for over 25 years. She was proud to be a member of South Tampa Fellowship Baptist Church. Her other joys in life included traveling, drawing, music and theater. She was a volunteer docent at the Ybor City Museum, an active member of Pan American University Women, and volunteer at the Straz Performing Arts Center, where she was honored for her goodwill after 20 years.
