Anna "Annie" Perez's Obituary
PEREZ, Anna (Annie), 96, native of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2013. Annie was born in Ybor City on April 21, 1917 and lived in Tampa, Florida her entire life. Predeceased by her Italian parents Michele and Antonina Messina, four sisters and a brother, husbands Delio Martinez father of her only child, Albert Polo and Faustino Perez. Survivors include her loving and devoted daughter who never left her side Jo Ann Thoms (Jim Cunningham); grandsons, Frank Dell Leto and Dino Michael Leto whom she adored and dearly loved, great grandchildren, Frank Loren Leto and Lorelle Elise Leto whom she also dearly loved. Annie was a wonderful homemaker, great cook and loved to sing and go dancing with her husbands. Always beautifully dressed by her daughter and named "Queen of the Moose Lodge" many years ago. She was also very wise and many friends asked her for advice. She lost her vision at an early age but never let that get in her way. She was an incredible woman and will be dearly missed. A Catholic funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 with Msgr. Laurence Higgins officiating at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave Tampa, FL. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until time of service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
