Anna Louise Noya's Obituary
Anna Louise Noya, 90, a Tampa Native was born on September 13, 1927. She was called to enter eternal rest on September 11, 2018. Anna was the daughter of Louis and Anita Fernandez. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Angel Noya Jr. of 45 years. She is survived by her faithful daughter, Dorinda Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Martha Carrasco; two special cousins, Celia Nelson and Dora Garcia; Godsons, George Carrasco and Louis Diaz Jr.; her grand dogs, Emma and Lucy; and Luis Rodriguez who she considered as her own son.
Anna was a graduate of Florida State University-College for Women. She became a Hillsborough County educator and taught thousands of children during her 36-year teaching career at VM Ybor, Cuesta Elementary and West Tampa Elementary/Junior High. She loved working in the garden, going shopping, and being an active member in the Las Chicas of Tampa Bay Women’s Club. Anna was extremely appreciative of her many family members and friends throughout her lifetime. She was extremely grateful for the devoted care given to her by Dr. Karen Locicero and her dedicated caregiver, Ana Villegas as well as other loyal caregivers.
Dorinda and Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13 from 10-11 AM at Boza and Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL 33603. A service will be held at 11 AM at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Colon Cemetery, 3110 W. Columbus Dr. In Tampa.
