Mr. Angelo Mormino's Obituary
MORMINO, Angelo, 93, of Tampa passed away Apr. 28, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents: Giacinto and Giovanna Mormino. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Angela Castellano Mormino; son: Giacinto Mormino and wife Caterina; daughters: Giovanna Plazza and husband Stefano, Maria Mormino; grandchildren: Angelo and wife Lauren, Cristina and Michael Mormino, Sergio and Giancarlo Plazza and Melissa and Amanda Mormino; sister: Angela Genco; sister-in-law: Frances Nagel. Mr. Mormino was a simple man that went without life's pleasures and extravagances in order to save for his children. He was a loyal friend, committed to his family, a loving and devoted husband , father and grandfather. He had a good sense of humor, loved to recite poems, tell stories, singing and playing cards with his family on holidays and get-togethers. Mr. Mormino was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening. He appreciated the outdoors and bike riding which he did until just last month. He could be stubborn but in a good Sicilian way. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in Mr. Mormino's memory to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284. A Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 6400 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM with recitation of the Catholic Wake Rite at 7 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL.
