Angelo "Shorty" Collura Sr's Obituary
COLLURA SR, Angelo "Shorty", 85, passed away on November 6, 2013. He was born September 24, 1928 in Dade City, Florida, a graduate of Hillsborough High School, and resided in the community of Wellswood in Tampa Fl the majority of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was in the grocery business and vice president of meat operations for Kash and Karry (Lucky Foods) for over 33 years. He is preceded in death by hisloving wife, Florence L. Collura, mother, Rosaria Collura, father, Guiseppe Collura and six of his siblings. He is survived by his son, Angelo Collura Jr; his daughter, Debbie Collura Martinez (Rene Martinez Jr.); grandsons, Jason Daniel Vargas, Gavin Nicholas Vargas; sister, Mary Guggino; brother, Samuel Collura and several nieces and nephews and friends. A special thank you goes out to the previous caregiver & friend Christina Gonzalez and all of the loving staff and friends at Grand Court of Tampa where he happily resided for the past 3 years. We will all miss SHORTY! Funeral services will be held at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue on Monday at 12 noon. Visitation will be from 11am-12 noon Monday. Entombment will follow at the Italian Club Cemetery. Please make donations to the Tampa General Hospital Neurology Dept.
