Angelo Betancourt 9/6/46-12/18/17
Angelo passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Pre deceased by his son Thomas" Tommy" Betancourt, mother Mercedes "Mercy" Rocha, father Angelo Betancourt Sr., and nephew Eric Mata. Left to cherish memories of him partner for life Elaine Kennedy, daughter Tammie Penn(Roger), grandson Hunter Penn, brother David Betancourt(Patti), sisters Sandra Wolcott(Gary), Patty Tolzman (Wayne), many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with many extended family and friends.
He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School (1964), a Vietnam Navy Veteran, local funeral director serving the community for many years. He then went to become a City of Tampa TPD 911 dispatcher and validation clerk retiring in 2013. He volunteered many years of service to West Tampa Little League and District 6 Little League Umpire Association. Angelo was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Friday December 22,2017 at 5:30 and a memorial mass will begin at 6:30. Interment will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to West Tampa Little League P.O.
