Alton P. Jameson Jr.'s Obituary
Alton Parker Jameson, 81, passed away 7/2/2014. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Carma of 39 years in 2008. He leaves behind daughter Allison, son Al, daughter-in-law Sara, and wonderful grandsons Brendon and Ty, and various extended family. Alton was a Tampa native, proud of the "Big Red" and being a Hillsborough High School Terrier, where he enjoyed singing in the "Glee Club" chorus before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He was a retired employee of the City of Tampa where he served our community for over 30 years. He was a longtime member of Seminole Heights Baptist Church, where he loved singing and performing in the choir, especially during Easter and Christmas performances. He loved singing, art, and sports, was especially proud of the Bucs when they won the Super Bowl in 2003. Alton's world revolved around his family, he will be missed dearly. Viewing will be Thursday, 7/10 from 4 to 7 with a memorial service at 7pm at the Boza and Roel funeral home in Tampa. Burial will be private at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
