I will miss Aleida very much having met her when I married Joe. Their families
had been neighbors, since they were children. When Aleida and her family
moved, they continued to be close friends. At 13 yrs old, Aleida walked Joe to
school on his first day to Robert E. Lee Elementary . Joe considered her to be
her second sister.
In later years, she always remembered our children and grandchildren's names
and would always call them on their birthdays. If she knew your birthday, she
would call to wish you Happy Birthday.
She was very active at Bayshore Presbyterian Apartments. She was the leader
of the exercise class, 3 days a week, was a Bingo caller and always volunteered
to help wherever needed. She did this up to 100th year. She was amazing!
Aleida was loved and will be greatly missed.
