Ryan was the first friend I made in middle school after moving to Florida from Utah. I was sitting by myself on the school bus; he sat down next to me, put out his hand and introduced himself. He was my polar opposite... bold, extroverted, and confident. After finding out I was new, he took me under his wing and introduced me to others at school. He even helped me fund raise for Little League by going door-to-door to sell chocolate bars. Listening to his sales pitch house after house made me want to buy another bar, though I already knew how badly the chocolate tasted.
He helped me immensely that first year in an unfamiliar new place, and for that, I will never forget him.
